In 2023 the US Surgeon General advised that loneliness and isolation represent profound threats to our health and well-being.  

In the face of this epidemic, technology can have positive effects on older adults’ well-being, social connectedness, and loneliness reduction. It won’t replace face-to-face interactions but a balanced approach with technology will make a difference.

Our Programs

Tech for Seniors offers two programs in pursuit of our mession to alleviate social isolation and loneliness.

  • Our Partner Tablet Program provides shareable tablets and support programs to aging service providers.
  • The Senior Tablet program provides a tablet and services for older adults who live independently.

Gifts for Seniors has nearly 30 years of experience helping to alleviate the challenges of older adults. Our history and experience are an important part of our Tech for Seniors program. We are committed to the social support embedded in the Tech for Seniors mission.

We partner and collaborate with over 125 aging service providers including community centers, adult day care providers, home visiting services, Meals on Wheels, the Living at Home Network, county case managers, mental health case managers, healthcare agencies, government low-income public housing, senior living facilities, independent group homes, social service agencies, healthcare facilities, faith communities, senior social clubs, culturally specific organizations, & other nonprofits.
